Re moves up to 45.79/$

The rupee, which dropped to a low of 46.06 per dollar in early morning deals today, closed on a firm note at 45.79 per dollar on buying by PSU banks and steady dollar inflows. The rupee had closed at 45.92 per dollar yesterday.
