The spot rupee closed on a flat note at 43.5250 per dollar as against the last close of 43.53 per dollar. With RBI Governor reiterating stance on monetary indicators, prices of government securities moved up today. While prices of long-term papers moved up by 40-50 paise, short-term papers gained 10-15 paise. The 10-year, 7.38% 2,015 bond closed at an yield of 7.16% as against the close of 7.20% on Thursday. Call rates eased to 5.10%, and reverse repo bids totalled Rs 7,365 crore. |
