Rupee depreciates 11 paise/$ in early trade

The rupee today weakened by 11 paise to Rs 46.75 a dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market in early trade due to increased dollar demand from importers.

Dealers said increased demand from importers for the US currency put pressure on the the rupee.

    
The dollar's gains against other major currencies also weighed on the rupee, they added.
    
The rupee had ended higher by 3 paise at 46.64/65 a dollar in the previous session.
