Government security prices fell initially but recovered after the MSS budget was set lower for the third quarter. Prices in long-term securities moved by around Re 1, while those of medium-term paper stood ranged between 50 and 60 paise. Yield on the ten-year benchmark paper, 7.37 per cent 2014, closed higher at 6.23 per cent, compared with 6.20 per cent previously. Call money rates remained comfortable and ended at 4.20-30 per cent.
