Rupee marginally strong in morning trade

Dollar sale by banks helps rupee

Neelasri Barman Mumbai
The rupee was trading marginally strong in morning trade due to dollar sale by banks.

At 11:00 am, the rupee was trading at Rs 62.43 compared with previous close of Rs 62.50 per dollar.

The rupee has a weakening bias due to month end dollar demand by importers, said currency dealers. But they added that sale of dollars by banks may protect the rupee.
