State Bank of India (SBI) has launched ‘SBI Gift Cards’ in Hyderabad. “The gift cards will work on all Visa outlet shops across the country and will give a choice to the recipients. It will also be convenient for the gifting person, since he will no longer be burdened with going to shops to select items and hoping that the recipient would like that,” Shiva Kumar, chief general manager (Andhra Pradesh), stated in a press release.
As a special promotion offer, issue charges for gift cards are fully waived up to March 31, 2010. SBI Gift Cards are issued for a minimum amount of Rs 500 and thereafter in multiples of Rs 100, subject to a maximum of Rs 20,000. The cards are available at all its branches in Hyderabad and Secunderabad and at select other important centres, Kumar said.
