O P Bhatt, chairman, State Bank of India (SBI), today indicated that the bank may consider reducing interest rates on certain loans at the next asset-liability (ALCO) committee meeting.

"The ALCO meeting might consider the current situation and take a call on interest rates," Bhatt said.

The country's largest bank, irrespective of loan growth, is also planning to raise capital between November-January.
