SBI plans 300 ATMs in MP, Chhattisgarh

The Bhopal circle of the State Bank of India (SBI), which includes Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, plans to set up over 300 automated teller machines (ATMs) in the semi-urban areas.
At present, the bank has 125 networked ATMs in these two states. The bank has registered a Rs 14,770 crore deposit and made Rs 6,613 crore advances till November 2003.
Of the total advances by all scheduled commercial banks in the two states, the SBI accounts for 30.07 per cent and 26.33 per cent in deposits.
