SBI to expand net banking coverage

State Bank of India (SBI) will extend its Internet banking facility to Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Srikakulam and Vijayanagaram shortly.

At present, this facility is offered in Visakhapatnam city only in the Visakhapatnam zone of the bank.

The bank has now decided to extend this facility to other cities and major towns in the zone by March-end, said S Ramakrishnan, the deputy general manager of SBI Visakhapatnam zone.

" At present, the bank has 51 ATMs in the zone. Our aim is to set up an ATM at every two km of distance. Accordingly, 12 more ATMs will be set up by March-end," he said.
