BS Reporter
SBI plans to further restructure itself. Arundhati Bhattacharya, chairman said: "The bank has four managing directors (MDs), and we have sought positions for two more MDs. Also, all the business verticals will now report to MDs. Only certain verticals, like human resources, chief financial officer and information technology will directly report to the chairman. We have subdivided the role of chief credit and risk officer. The fourth MD position will be (for) compliance and risk, given the fact that these are so important in risk management."

The bank has approval for capitalisation of Rs 15,000 crore, with a window of 10 months. It plans to open a representative office in Brazil and an office at Yangon, Myanmar.
