Silver Scam Accused Commits Suicide

Dewang Shah, the prime accused in the silver scam, committed suicide here today by slashing his wrists.

Shah, the branch manager of Mumbai-based BVC Travels, was admitted to a hospital after an earlier suicide attempt following revelations that a stock of silver bullion worth Rs 39 crore and gold biscuits worth Rs 4.58 crore, supplied by the United Bank of Switzerland was missing from the Mumbai-based BVC Travel
