State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) reported a 29.8 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 184.84 crore for the quarter ended September 2008 compared with Rs 142.39 crore during the same period last year.
Its total income increased to Rs 1,587.65 crore from Rs 1,209.71 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering growth of 31.2 per cent. The bank’s interest income during the period increased 36.7 per cent to Rs 1,410.98 crore (Rs 1,031.47 crore).
SBH Managing Director Renu Challu said mark-to-market losses of the bank during the second quarter stood at Rs 12.5 crore as against Rs 158 crore in the first quarter.
