The Godha brothers, Vineet and Puneet Godha, arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation for accepting bribe of Rs 50 lakh on behalf of their brother-in-law S K Jain, CMD of Syndicate Bank, have refused to give their voice samples to the investigating agency. CBI would need the voice samples to match these with the voices in the tapped telephonic conversation through forensic test.
The agency, which nabbed Neeraj Singhal, vice-chairman of Bhushan Steel, on Thursday, managed to get four-day remand of all the accused in the case. Ten people have been arrested so far in the bribery scandal.
The agency had registered an FIR in this matter on August 2.
