Syndicate Bank Q2 net up 15%

Syndicate Bank today reported a 15.08 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 261.91 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008, compared to the corresponding quarter last financial year.

The total income for the period went up by 17.2 per cent to Rs 2,527.02 crore compared to the same period a year ago. The rise in profit was mainly on account of a 22 per cent increase in its interest income which stood at Rs 2,370 crore for the quarter, compared to the same quarter last year.

R-Cap net profit rises 17 per cent

 

Reliance Capital reported a 17.04 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 229.15 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008, compared to Rs 195.78 crore in the corresponding period last year. Total income was 37.82 per cent higher at Rs 1,313.08 crore. The company’s total assets stood at Rs 22,133 crore, while the networth of the company amounted to Rs 7,068.2 crore.

Andhra Bank profit rises 6.82%

Andhra Bank reported a 6.82 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 161.53 crore for the quarter ended September 2008, compared with Rs 151.21 crore in the same period last year. Total income grew by 23.67 per cent to Rs 1,463.58 crore.
