Tata AIG Life Insurance Company sees room for recruiting 1,00,000 agents in five years, with over 10 per cent operating in Mumbai alone.
In comparison, the Life Insurance Corporation of India plans to increase its agency force to 10 lakh by end of fiscal 2003 from the present over 8 lakh. Tata AIG Life today has 9,000 agents across nine cities, with 1,200 selling policies in Mumbai.
