Tata Capital, a non-banking finance company floated by Tata Group, has reported a 61 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 71.3 crore for the second quarter ended September, against Rs 44.7 crore in the same period last year.
The total income of the company rose to Rs 1,048.4 crore from last year’s Rs 754.3 crore, it said in a filing to the BSE on Wednesday.
On asset quality, the company's gross non- performing assets (NPAs) as a percentage of total advances declined to 1.12 per cent from 1.78 per cent in the same quarter a year ago. Its net NPAs also declined to 0.82 per cent of total loans from 1.29 per cent in the year-ago period.
