Taurus Mutual Fund launched a new fund offer (NFO), Taurus Dynamic Income Fund, an open-ended income scheme on January 25. The scheme to be benchmarked against CRISIL Composite Bond Fund Index, will be managed actively by Rahul Pal, VP-fixed income, Taurus Mutual Fund.

The NFO opened on January 25 and will close on February 8. The scheme will reopen after about 10 days from the date of the NFO closing for continuous sale and repurchase.

Commenting on the launch of Taurus Dynamic Income Fund, Waqar Naqvi, CEO Taurus Mutual Fund said, "Looking at the ongoing market volatility and in absence of a clear trigger for stability in near future, both institutional and retail investors are looking for an investment option to park their funds which can reduce their investment risk and glide them through this volatility."

"Taurus Dynamic Fund has the capability to reduce investment risk and optimise returns for the investors by designing a portfolio which will dynamically track interest rate movement and play on the shift/shape of yield curve," he added.

The scheme's investment objective is to generate optimal returns with high liquidity through active management of the portfolio by investing in debt and money market instruments.

However, the fund house does not provide any assurance or guarantee that the objectives of the scheme will be realized and the scheme does not assure or guarantee any returns. According to Taurus, the scheme is suitable for investors with a moderate risk profile and an investment horizon of over six months.

Investors can choose from the growth and dividend options. Under Dividend option, there are two sub-options to choose from payout or reinvestment.
