Kotak Investment Banking has elevated S Sriniwasan, S Ramesh and TV Raghunath to the position of executive directors. In a media statement today, Kotak Investment said the move was part of a "management realignment within the organisation."

Senior Kotak officials said that they were adapting the new organisational structure "to expand and deepen Kotak's coverage footprint".

Kotak is also taking aggressive steps to further enhance its M&A practice, and continue developing equity products to include cross-border transactions and other new product initiatives, they added.

The media statement said Sriniwasan and Raghunath will be responsible for investment banking services, principally corporate relationship management and mergers & acquisitions. Ramesh will spearhead the domestic and international equity product initiatives.

Ajay Sondhi, vice chairman and managing director, said in the media statement: "As we continue to leverage our relationship with Goldman Sachs and exploit synergies with other parts of the Kotak group, we would like to provide our staff more responsibilities and greater opportunities to develop and grow."

Kotak Investment Banking is a strategic joint venture between Goldman Sachs Group and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Kotak Investment Banking's core business areas include equity issuances, mergers & acquisitions, advisory services and fixed income securities.
