Transfer of RBI stake in State Bank by FY08

Vinod Rai, secretary (financial sector) in the ministry of finance, today said the transfer of the stake of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in State Bank of India (SBI) to the government is expected in 2007-08.

He added that the transfer would be budget-neutral.
