US mkts end weak, HDFC Bank jumps 4%

US indices ended weak on the last day of the trading week, with Dow Jones finishing 19 points lower at 10,604 and Nasdaq closing down a point at 2,089. 

Indian floats had a mixed outing yesterday. While tech stocks ended at lower levels, other ADRs finished with decent gains.

While Wipro lost nearly 2% to $21.52, Infosys and Satyam finished weaker at $65.93 and $22.16, respectively.

HDFC Bank jumped nearly 4% to $40.91, and VSNL moved up 3% to $10.49. While Dr. Reddy's closed up a per cent at $18.38, ICICI Bank was up a tad at $18.60.
