UTI Bank has won the mandate to set up 16 ATMs on the Western Railway (WR) stations along the Mumbai division. The ATMs will also be equipped with the facility to issue computerised railway season tickets.

The Indian Railways had last year invited select banks to participate in a pilot project to set up ATMs at Western Railway lines. The other banks who have won the bid for setting up ATMs include State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and ICICI Bank.

The bank will be setting up ATMs between Churchgate and Borivili stations- two each at Churchgate, Bandra, Andheri and Borivili stations and one each at other stations including Dadar and Mumbai Central. It is also setting up one ATM in Surat.
