Vadodara division's foundation day

The Vadodara division of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will conduct several social activities over the next one week to mark its 48th foundation day.

LIC will hand over the water tanks to schools located in interior areas and distribute wheel chairs and tricycles to organisations and individuals. It will also run health and insurance awareness campaign during this week.

Vadodara division manager U K Sharma said: "Vadodara division is eyeing at 100 percent growth in first premium collection. The competition from the newly entered player is high but we have found that it has increased awareness of insurance instead of eating into our pie. We have observed the increase of 15 per cent in our agent base."
