7th Day of Ongoing Rashtriya Sanskriti mahotsav Celebrated with Cultural Vibrancy and Enthusiasm
The cultural confluence continues on the seventh day of the ongoing cultural festival 'Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav' at IGNCA, Janpath in New Delhi. The seventh day started with a 'Folk Performance (Singing/Dancing/Instrumental) Competition' and a 'Pottery and Clay Modeling Workshop' for school children. 7 Aangans by the Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCC's) offered the visitors a range of artifacts, handicrafts like Haveli paintings from Punjab, Rogan artworks from Gujarat, Banaras silk, Kalamkari (hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile), Tanjore paintings and many more.
The evening witnessed a high energy & intensity filled performances by artists from Sangeet Natak Akademi including art forms like Nrityarupa and Pung Cholam of Manipur.
The event also witnessed a soulful performance choreographed collectively by all Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCCs).
The 8 day National Cultural Festival of India include hours of cultural performances from 10.00 AM to 6:30 PM at the Aangans and from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Main stage. This most diverse and first of its kind festival will conclude tomorrow with a Live performance by renowned Sufi singers Wadali Brother's.
