Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Dr Mahesh Sharma informed the Lok Sabha today that Airports Authority of India has marketed its airports in the World Routes Development Forum held at Chicago recently. The airports marketed during 20th World Routes Development Forum are Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Leh, Lucknow, Srinagar, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Indore, Goa, Pune, Surat, Calicut, Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai, Mangalore,Trichy, Trivandrum, Visakhapatnam, Bhubneswar, Gaya, Guwahati, Kolkata, Portblair, Ranchi and Raipur.
The World Routes Forum is B-2-B platform between airports and airlines wherein upcoming airports are showcased amongst the world airlines who participate in the event so that flights can start through these airports.
