ACC Appointments
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following: 1. Acceptance of the request of Shri L.C. Goyal, IAS (KL:79), Home Secretary for voluntarily retiring from service with immediate effect by waiving the notice period.
2. Appointment of Shri Rajiv Mehrishi, IAS (RJ:78), Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance as Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of two years from the date of taking over charge as Home Secretary vice Shri L.C. Goyal.
3. The assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences to Prof. K. Vijay Raghavan, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology vice Dr. Shailesh Nayak on his relinquishing the charge of the post on 31.8.2015 for a period of three months or until the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
