ACC Appointments
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: (i) Dr. Sekhar Basu, Director, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre as Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy and Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission for a period till he attains the age of 64 years, i.e. 19-09-2016, vice Dr. RK Sinha superannuating on 23-10-2015 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
(ii) Shri Girish Shankar, IAS (BH:82) as Special Secretary, Ministry of Tourism w.e.f. 31-08-2015 till he joined as Secretary, Department of Official Language by temporarily upgrading the post of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism.
