Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC, Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff, Indian Air Force will be on a day visit to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Koraput, Odisha on 06th December 2014.
HAL Koraput division is one of the premier divisions of HAL and deals mainly with Russian origin aero-engines. Presently, HAL Koraput carries out Repair and Overhaul ()ROH) of MiG and Sukhoi aircraft engines.
A technical seminar is planned to be held on 06th and 7th December 2014 at HAL Koraput. This will be attended by Shri GC Pati, Chief Secretary, Govt of Odisha, Shri RK Tyagi, Chairman HAL, Shri DR Tamilmani, Director General (Aero), Shri S Subramaniam, MDM, HAL and other officials of HAL. Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha Chairman COSC & CAS will deliver the opening address at the seminar. During the seminar discussion on various topics like Requirements of Advanced Gas Turbine Engine for Combat Aircraft, Developments in 4th and 5th Generation Aero-Engines, Advanced Magnesium Alloys for Aero-Engine applications, etc are planned.
