Allocation of Bauxite Mines

The Minister of State for Mines and Steel, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has said that the Ministry has not received any proposal from Odisha Mining Corporation for allocation of Karlapat bauxite deposit in Kalahandi district, Odisha. However, Ministry has received a request from Government of Odisha for reservation of Karlapat Bauxite deposit over an area of 3113.25 hectares in Kalahandi district of Odisha in favour of M/s Odisha Mining Corporation Limited under Section 17A(2) of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957.
