Cloud Storage for Storing Data
Towards this, Army has presently launched Infrastructure as a Service. Further, the Army cloud has been made fail proof with a backup Data Centre. The vital defence information is not available on the Internet and is only hosted on Intranet which is air-gapped from the Internet. Besides, all Services have established their respective Cyber Emergency Response Teams (CERT) to take care of any threats. Adequate Safeguards have been instituted in the form of audits, physical checks and policy guidelines.
This information was given by Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh in a written reply to Shri Kirti Azad in Lok Sabha today.
