The Department of Heavy industry is concerned there is Nil information regarding any charge sheet submitted by CBI against Chairman-cum managing Director, CCI.
The present CMD, CCI Sh. Manoj Misra has joined on 21.01.2015. The Department has not issued any order regarding the confirmation for the balance period of his tenure. According to PESB guidelines a CMD/MD/Functional Director would be deemed to be confirmed unless the Ministry/ Department sent a proposal to PESB, to the contrary, within 30 days after the expiry of one year. The present CMD has completed his one year as CMD, CCI on 20.01.2016.
This information was given by Minister of State in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Shri Babul Supriyo in reply to a written question in the Lok Sabha today.
