COAS visit to Japan
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Dalbir Singh is on a four day goodwill visit to Japan from 16 to 19 Nov 15. On arrival in Tokyo on 16 Nov 15, the COAS was given a warm reception at Narita International Airport. Later in the day, he called on military dignitaries and discussed issues of mutual concern pertaining to security and Defence Cooperation. A Guard of Honour was also accorded to the COAS by the Japanese Ground Self Defence Force(GSDF). He, later attended an official banquet hosted in his honour by General & Mrs Kiyofumi Iwata, Chief of Staff of Japanese GSDF. Gen Dalbir Singh will also be visiting defence installations and institutions of the Japanese Self Defence Force during his visit including Camp Narasino, Camp Simosizu, Japanese Air Defence School, Camp Fuji and Headquarters of Japanese Middle Army.
