Commerce and Industry Ministry Officials to Visit Vizag on October 21 Team to Assess Damages to Industries Caused by Cyclone Hudhud and to Suggest Restoration Measures

The state of Andhra Pradesh has recently witnessed an unprecedented natural calamity. The cyclonic storm Hudhud has caused damage to the city of Visakhapatnam and other coastal districts in Andhra Pradesh.

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Commerce and Industry Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has deputed two senior Ministry officials Shri Rajeev Arora, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce and Shri D.V. Prasad, Joint Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion to assess the damage caused to various industrial projects, including Special Economic Zones in Visakhapatnam, and suggest restoration measures.

Shri Arora and Shri Prasad will be going to the cyclone ravaged place on October 21, 2014.
