Consultative Committee on Minority Affairs Discusses "PM's New 15 Point Programme"
The Consultative Committee meeting of the Ministry of Minority Affairs was held here today. The topic for discussion was "PM's New 15 Point Programme ". The Meeting was chaired by Dr. Najma Heptulla, the Union Minister for Minority Affairs and co-chaired by the Minister of State, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. A presentation was made before the Committee on PM's New 15 Point Programme and major achievements of the Ministry. The Committee discussed the Prime Minister's New 15 Point Programme in detail and members made several suggestions for effective implementation of the programme. The suggestions included connecting Madarsa's /Makatib's to Sarv Siksha Abhiyan, providing Single window service to beneficiaries' at District and State level relating to all the schemes of the Ministry, defining vague expressions used in PM's new 15 point Programme and providing MCB's break up where infrastructure has been created or being created. Other issues discussed included Priority Sector Lending, Drinking water and recruitment of minorities in Government and PSUs.
Welcoming the suggestions, Dr. Najma Heptulla briefed the committee of measures being taken to address the issues raised by the members. Thanking members for their valuable suggestions she assured them to consider the suggestions and make all possible efforts for implementation.
