Director of 'the Gods of Water' Pablo Cesar Meets Press at 45th IFFI

Pablo Cesar, the director of 'The Gods of Water' premier film in world cinema section of 45th edition of IFFI addressed a press conference here today.In the film, the protagonist is in search of answer to thequest of whether the ancient knowledge was science or based on religion.The film traces his search of the last wise men for obtaining answer from them on this.The film is made in collaboration with Argentina, Angola and Ethiopia, he said. He studied the texts of Indian Mythology like Mahabharata, Ramayan and others as a part of his research for the film.

He said that he derives inspiration to make movies from the Indian cinema scene. He has been attending film festivals in India for last 20 years. His next project focuses on Rabindranath Tagore's 1924 visit to Argentina. His movie will be premiered in Argentina at the end of February.

Pablo Cesar is the recipient of International Awards and has also participated as jury in the festivals of Amiens (France), Montreal (Canadayouth cinema festival), Kelibia (Tunisia), Huy (Belgium), Hyderabad (India), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Villa Carlos Paz and Buenos Aires (Argentina). Heis a professor at the Universidad del cine of Buenos Aires since 1992 specializes the subjects of direction, production and author's cinema seminar.
