Dr Y V Reddy, Former Governor, RBI delivers 17th CVC lecture on State and Market in India"

Dr Y V Reddy, Former Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) delivered CVC lecture on State and Market in India" here today. This was the 17th lecture of the Lecture Series" organised by the Commission.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Y V Reddy said that the primary role of the State is to protect the rights of its citizens. He also emphasised on the regional planning to meet the objectives. Dr Reddy advocated that the Government policies should be market-friendly, rather than being business friendly. He also emphasised on the five-point strategy based on interest, incentive, information, innovation and institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, the Central Vigilance Commissioner Shri KV Chowdary said the CVC has been sponsoring Vigilance Officers for training abroad and 25 Officers are presently undergoing anti-corruption training in Vienna.

Vigilance Commissioners Dr. T M Basin and Shri Rajiv, besides Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) of Government Departments and various PSUs and Senior Officers of the CVC were present on the occasion.
