Handloom Clusters in Bihar
As announced in Union Budget 2014-15, the Government of India has taken up Bhagalpur as mega handloom cluster at a total project cost of Rs. 17.15 crore, including Govt. of Indias share of Rs. 16.21 crore. The mega cluster covers Bhagalpur & Baka districts. Besides this, two block-level clusters at Nawada (Nawada District) and Dehri (Rohtas District) have been sanctioned at a total project cost of Rs. 236.29 lakh (including GoI share of Rs. 230.60 lakh) and Rs. 192.03 lakh (including GoI share of Rs. 190.05 lakh) respectively.
