Indian Air Force Continues Relief and Rescue Operations in Rain Ravaged Areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh
In continuation of rescue & relief operations being undertaken in flood hit Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh , the Indian Air Force has airlifted 17 teams of National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) teams from Delhi, Bhubaneswar and Bathinda. 02 Columns of Indian Army and evacuated 309 stranded people. The helicopters have winched 22 people and rescued 267 passengers. A total load of 7.5 tonnes has been airlifted by the helicopters.
