The Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Ananth Kumar along with the Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Shri Sarbananda Sonawal and the Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot felicitated the Indian Blind Cricket Team on its return to India after a spectacular victory in the One- day International (ODI) World Cup finals at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, in New Delhi this morning. They met and congratulated the victorious Blind Cricket Team which returned from South Africa after winning the 4th ODI World Blind Cricket Tournament.
Later in the evening Shri Ananth Kumar had taken the members of the winning cricket team to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for complimenting them on the victory.
The Indian Blind Cricket Team lifted the 4th ODI World Cup, 2014 for the Blind beating Pakistan in South Africa on 7th December, 2014 at Cape Town South Africa. Severn countries participated in the Tournament - India, Pakistan, Australia, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa and Bangladesh.
