A motivational tour of influential persons hailing from remote villages of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir called on the Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, here today. The tour is organized by the Indian Army (26 Rashtriya Rifles) under its project 'Operation Sadbhavana'. The tour has been planned with an aim to familiarize and introduce the opinion makers to the rich and diverse culture of the country, foster a sense of goodwill and unity and create awareness of our Nation's multifaceted identity. The tour had interaction with the Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh and shared their experiences of the tour.
The tour beginning from January 20, 2015 has visited various cultural and historical places of interest across cities of Delhi, Udaipur and Ajmer. The tour members have also visited prestigious educational institutes like Noida International University and Pacific University, Udaipur which provides quality education to wards of citizens of Jammu and Kashmir at nominal fees.
The tour has witnessed the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade on 23rd Jan 2015 and planning to meet other dignitaries during their stay in the capital.
