Expressing his concern over the depleting number of films in Kannada film industry P. Sheshadri, director of the Kannada film December 1 said that Government should come forward to extend financial support and subsidies for regional films in India. He added that Kannada film industry had a glorious time during 1970s and 80s , but is now passing through a low phase which need enhanced Government support for its revival.
Niveditha, the lead actress of film was optimistic that the Kannada film industry will touch a new high once again. She said that people are ready to watch good Kannada films. She also expressed her happiness to get a chance to be the voice of downtrodden women in the film December-1.
The film December-1 is a political satire when the Chief Minister officially visits a poor family specially selected to host a dinner and overnight stay for him in its humble abode. The visit is a great success with photo-shoots, interaction with press and local leaders, dinner and wide media coverage. But the family itself is neglected, faces embarrassments and gets a raw deal, driving it to despair.
