Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan, under the Ministry of MSME has organized a special Khadi and Village Industries Exhibition at Harijan Sevak Sangh, Delhi. The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri B H Anil Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Khadi and Village Industries Commission. He visited the Exhibition and showed keen interest in the products on display.
The Exhibition which will continue up to 31st December 2014 has 75 stalls out of which 40 are allocated to the Khadi institutions and 35 for the village industries and PMEGP units.
Various states like Rajasthan, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan, Delhi are participating in a big way.
On display are varieties of silk i.e. mulbary, tassar, munga, andi; woolen shawls with Kashmiri embroidery, jackets, coats and large number of ready to wear garments in cotton, wool, silk and poly Khadi and wide range of herbal products including cosmetics.
Harijan Sevak Sangh, was established in the year 1932. Mahatma Gandhi stayed at this campus.
Shri Laxmi Das, former chairman, KVIC and Secretary, Harijan Sevak Sangh, Dr. Naresh Pal, Dy. Chief Executive officer, Shri S.P. Singh, Director, Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan and other officials of the KVIC were also present. Shri Anil Kumar.
