The Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan met Turkmenistan Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Petroleum Mr. Hojamuhammodov in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The two sides reviewed the progress on TAPI gas pipeline project which will supply 15 billion cubic meter of gas to India from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and Pakistan. Shri Pradhan reiterated commitment of India for the pipeline and pressed for early completion of the pipeline.
Shri Pradhan is accompanied by CMDs of GAIL and EIL and MD OVL. The two sides also discussed possibility of cooperation in other upstream, downstream and midstream areas.
Shri Pradhan also met Indian professionals based in Ashgabat.
