CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Ltd. (SPMCIL) here recently.
The MoU has been envisioned to foster collaboration on research and exchange of technical expertise in areas of material sciences and testing capabilities for bank notes, security documents and coins. The MoU was signed by Dr. Sourav Pal, Director, CSIR-NCL and Shri Rakesh Kumar, Additional General Manager, SPMCIL in the presence of Shri. P.N. Radkar, Director (Technical), SPMCIL.
The agreement ascertained the research projects within the focus areas of SPMCIL's requirements and domain expertise available at CSIR-NCL. The meet was participated by the dignitaries from both CSIR-NCL and SPMCIL.
Dr. V. Premnath initiated the discussions emphasizing on the milieu of the concerned project areas. Discussion was carried by both sides to explore on printing innovations to foresee the probable future commercial applications of the project, assuring accomplishment of financial objectives and achieving visibility potential of the project in near future. Dr. Sourav Pal discussed the features of the project, technical scope and its viability. Director CSIR-NCL and Director-SPMCIL expressed to look forward towards working in good collaboration.
