The National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) under the Chairmanship of the Cabinet Secretary, Shri Ajit Seth reviewed the relief and rehabilitation work in flood affected areas of Jammu & Kashmir here today.
The Cabinet Secretary telephonically reviewed the relief work with the Chief Secretary of J&K, Shri Mohammad Iqbal Khandey in the areas of Power, Food, Health, Drinking water, Textile and connectivity through Roads, Telecommunication and Broadcasting sectors. The Cabinet Secretary advised the Chief Secretary to ensure that the work of distribution of relief measures to the needy people is taken up on the war footing.
The Secretaries and Representatives of the Ministries/Departments of the Union Government also apprised the Chief Secretary of J&K and the NCMC about the latest relief measures being extended by them.
