Non-Bailable section of IPC
The Code of Criminal Procedure (Bihar Amendment) Bill, 2011, seeking to amend section 353 of the Indian Penal Code by substituting the word non-bailable" by the word bailable", was received from the State Government of Bihar. The decision withholding the assent of the President from the said Bill was duly conveyed to the State Government. This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary in written reply to a question by Smt Rama Devi in the Lok Sabha today.
