President of India to inaugurate a week-long Festival of Innovations at Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 4

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate a week-long Festival of Innovations on March 4, 2017 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He will also present the ninth biennial award for grassroots innovations and outstanding traditional knowledge as well as meet the innovation scholars, artists and writers who would be staying in Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of In-Residence Programme on the occasion.

The Festival of Innovations, organized by Rashtrapati Bhavan in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation-India, will witness a number of exhibitions; roundtable discussions with national and international participation on different topics related to innovations (such as incubation and acceleration models for innovative start-ups, social innovations for large-scale societal change and financing of innovations, start-ups and early stage ventures); an award for Gandhian Young Technological Innovation; Visitors Awards to Central Universities in the categories of Best University, Innovation and Research; a meeting of Innovation Clubs and Design Innovation Centres; interaction of scientists with grassroots innovators and a workshop for children etc.

The Exhibition of Innovations will remain open between 1000 to 1700 hrs from March 4-10, 2017 for the public. All visitors to the Mughal Gardens will be able to visit the Exhibition.
