Production Capacity of Heavy Industries
Industry is a State Subject and therefore, any centralized data regarding investment made by Government in heavy industries is not maintained in the Department of Heavy Industry (DHI). The role of DHI is confined to the administration of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and Sectors under its administrative control. However, the list of CPSEs under DHI and the details of investment made in these CPSEs are available in volume-I of Public Enterprises Survey 2014-15 already laid on the Table of both Houses of Parliament on 26th February, 2016.
