Rehabilitation work of Coaches of Trains
Revamping interiors of identified coaches and making them ultra modern to the extent feasible is a continuous process on Indian Railways. In the recent past, one rake with revamped interiors -2- having vibrant colour scheme, additional amenities, etc. has been inducted as Mahamana Express running between New Delhi and Varanasi.
Carriage Rehabilitation Workshop, Bhopal, Mid-life Rehabilitation Workshop, Jhansi and Loco Workshop, Parel (Central Railway), Mumbai have been identified and Mid-life Rehabilitation of coaches is carried out at these locations. Also, Coach Rehabilitation Workshop, Kurnool (South Central Railway) is a new project in hand.
