Rs.2256 Crore Sanctioned for Rejuvenation of Ganga in UP

Under National Ganga River Basin Authority, the Government of India has approved 15 projects for rejuvenation of Ganga in the State of Uttar Pradesh at the total cost of Rs. 2256.01 crore. These projects for Ganga rejuvenation on main stem in Uttar Pradesh will be carried out at Allahabad, Garh Mukteshwar, Moradabad, Kannauj, Varanasi, Bithoor, Narora and Bulandshahar.

This information was given by Union Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Prof.Sanwar Lal Jat in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
