Secretary,Department of Financial Services to Review Quarterly Performance of Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions Tomorrow for the Quarter Ending September 2014: Banks Performance in Terms of over all Credit Growth, Issues Relating to Non Performing Assets, Recovery, Capital Adequacy, Stalled Projects, Financial Inclusion,Dbt And Pmjdy to be Reviewed in the Meeting

Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance will hold a Quarterly Review Meeting with the Chief Executive Officers(CEOs) of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and Financial Institutions tomorrow for the quarter ending September, 2014. This will be the First Review Meeting by Dr. Adhia after assuming the charge as Secretary, Department of Financial Services.

In the aforesaid meeting, performances of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) with regard to overall credit growth with particular reference to agriculture credit, MSE credit, housing loans, education loans, lending to minority communities and weaker sections of the society will be reviewed among others. Beside reviewing the performance of credit growth, issues of capital adequacy, non performing assets (NPAs), recovery, stalled projects, new projects and financial inclusion will also be discussed among others. Performance with regard to Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and UIDAI may also be reviewed in the aforesaid meeting.
